How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Every case differs but on average Invisalign treatments take between 6 and 18 months.

How much does Invisalign cost?

We need to assess each case individually and our Invisalign packages range from £1700 to £4195, with most patients paying between £3195 and £4195 for treatment.

What does my Invisalign price include?

Unlike many other Invisalign providers, our prices don’t just include the Invisalign treatment itself, but also include free consultations, free Invisalign Clincheck 3D planning (exclusive to The MiSmile Network), 3D iTero scanning to eliminate need for impressions, free tooth whitening (where appropriate), free genuine Invisalign Vivera retainers afterwards, free hygienist visits when needed during treatment, a free starter pack, and free orthodontic treatment planning support for the most predictable outcomes.

What happens at my Invisalign assessment?

We will discuss your wishes and needs and check if Invisalign is right for you. We will use our iTero scanner to make a FREE 3D scan of your teeth so it can show you the projection of your new smile almost immediately. This amazing technology means that, unlike most Invisalign providers who still take impressions of teeth and charge patients to see their smile transformation, we can do this without cost to you and without obligation. That way you can see what Invisalign can do for you and what your teeth could look like before you commit any money. If you like what you see we can then arrange a further appointment for a full dental check-up and x-rays before starting treatment.

How often do I need to come in to have my aligners checked?

Initially there are a few visits to get treatment started but after that we advise short review visits about every 5-6 weeks throughout the treatment.

Will the treatment be painful like metal braces?

Most people experience some tooth soreness for a few days after each new aligner stage is started which is normal and is a sign that the treatment is working.

Will I need teeth taken out to have Invisalign?

Usually we can carry out Invisalign without needing to take any teeth out, but our free assessment will help us confirm this.

Will my speech be affected by Invisalign braces?

Like all orthodontic appliances the aligner might temporarily affect speech for up to a week, but in our experience it is actually only for a few days.

Are there any restrictions on what I can eat?

In general, no, especially as you take the aligners out to eat. However we do advise keeping intake of sugary foods and drinks to a minimum.

Can I drink with the aligners in?

You can drink cold, still water with the aligners in but you will need to remove aligners for all other hot and cold drinks to reduce the risk of getting tooth staining or decay or damaging the aligners.
